This full day program is an in-depth session that will focus on the unique provisions related to encryption under the Export Administration Regulations (EAR). BIS licensing officers will provide a comprehensive overview of controls on encryption in the EAR, including what items are and are not controlled in Category 5 Part 2, License Exception ENC and mass market provisions (740.17), and encryption classification and licensing.
Prerequisite: The prerequisite for this course is the completion of the Complying with U.S Export Controls Seminar or equivalent experience.
Location/Time: The program will be held at the Sonesta San Jose-Milpitas Hotel, 777 Bellew Drive, Milpitas, CA 95035. Registration will begin at 7:30am. The program begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m.
Registration: The Encryption Seminar registration fee is $475 per person. The fee includes continental breakfast, coffee break, snacks, lunch and seminar materials. The last day to register is Wednesday, September 11, 2024.

2024 California Pavilion @ Industrial Transformation Mexico (ITM)
The California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) is organizing a California Pavillion at Industrial Transformation Mexico 2024 (ITM24). California companies specializing in Industry 4.0 applications and seeking export opportunities to Mexico are encouraged to register their interest. Go-Biz will support up to eight California businesses to participate in a series of business meeting with industry organizations in Leon Guanajuato.

Join us on 15-16 October in Istanbul, Türkiye, for the inaugural ICC World Chambers Federation Regional Summit in Europe & Asia. This key event, with the theme of “A collaborative approach to climate action,” will explore the latest climate change developments and highlight the proactive measures Chambers and businesses are taking to address climate risks. The draft programme is available on the event webpage. Attendees will also have the opportunity to engage in interactive business roundtables and schedule business meetings. Attendance is free of charge, but registration is required.

The California Governo
r’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz) invites California small businesses focused on aviation, space, and defense technology to participate in the California Pavilion at the Japan International Aerospace Exhibition. Participating companies will receive access to a turnkey booth, direct assistance from GO-Biz and the U.S. Commercial Service throughout the show, business-to-business matchmaking support, and a networking reception.

GO-Biz is awarding up to 3 STEP-eligible California health and medical technology companies with $5,000 in grant funding to offset exhibiting costs at Africa Health.
Africa Health will be held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre in South Africa. This show is the premier healthcare exhibition in the country, bringing together professionals, stakeholders, and decision-makers to share knowledge, showcase innovations, and tackle key sector challenges in the region. The show consists of diverse exhibitors spanning medical equipment, services, and technology as well as it features key workshops. REBUILD UKRAINE 2024-Business in Ukraine and Poland
ReBuild Ukraine – California Pavilion
Energy, technology, and construction firms are invited to participate in the
California Pavilion at ReBuild Ukraine on November 13-14. Engage with
Ukrainian community and business leaders seeking materials and solutions to
support the country’s reconstruction efforts. At the show, companies will
also be able to connect with energy and construction industry leaders from
across Europe. Each company will get an aisle-facing, branded kiosk and 50″
TV to display marketing material.
Regional Market Briefing and Reception
Before the show, the delegation will receive an in-market briefing with local
experts to learn about the current business climate in the region and local
business culture.
Following ReBuild Ukraine, the delegation will attend a networking reception
with Ukrainian and Polish businesses and community leaders in Warsaw.
Business Development Consulting
Companies will receive business development support for the Ukrainian and
Polish market from international consulting firm AHP International. Services
include a preparatory webinar; business-to-business matchmaking at ReBuild
Ukraine, in Warsaw, and virtually; and onsite support during the tradeshow.

Companies who register will be among the first notified when the application is opened.
